Still No Running!

Arghhhhh my little toe still hasn’t healed, it’s driving me crazy!!!  So I didn’t get to do my last long run today :0(  it does feel a bit better and I’m hoping to be back running by Monday fingers crossed.

I had a great gym session yesterday though, some cardio on the bike and some weights, it felt good to be back doing something after a few days off!

Some good news came this morning though when I weighed myself, after being stuck at the same weight for the last 2 and a half years I finally got down to my goal weight after 6 years plus a pound yay!!!!

After 2 and a half years of being frustrated thinking I was doing the right thing with my food, in January I decided to change a few things and stopped eating carbs such as bread, potatoes, pasta and instead started eating lots of vegetables, salads, fish, meat and eggs and I have lost 10 pounds in 3 and a half months!!!! I feel fantastic, plus when I’m running or in the gym I feel so much better, ok at first I felt a bit weak when I was running but now my body is used to it I feel like I’ve got loads more energy, not only when exercising but just in life in general.

2 and a half weeks to go!

So it’s only 2 and a half weeks to go until my first half marathon this year in Liverpool, I am really looking forward it and having a couple of nights away with the girls!!

I had decided to do my last long run this Friday but to my horror I’be either badly bruised or broke my little toe last night!!! I am hoping it will be ok for Friday and I can still do at least 10 miles!
